Royal Driving School
- Driver’s Education with Royal Driving School consists of eight (8) hours of classroom instruction and a minimum of six (6) hours of behind the wheel driving instruction. Our team of 5 instructors are all licensed with the Kansas Department of Motor Vehicles. We accept only students ages 14 to 18. The enrollment fee for the course is $390. We accept all payment types.
- Classes are held at The Garage, 134 S. 4th Street. Transportation to and from the class will be the student’s responsibility. After classroom instruction, students who do not have an Instruction (Learner’s) Permit will be given directions on picking up a permit. We will email all parents/guardians to arrange behind the wheel drive times for their students after classroom hours are completed. We will pick the student up for all driving lessons if the student lives within Salina. If the student lives outside of the city, we will arrange a meeting place within the city. Behind the wheel driving lessons consist of three sessions lasting two hours each. If any extra driving lessons are needed, a fee of $50 per hour will be charged. We encourage parents and students to practice driving before lessons begin so that the students start to gain confidence and experience behind the wheel.
- After successfully completing all driving lessons, the student will be issued a Certification of Completion. To get a license, the Certificate of Completion will need to be presented to the Department of Motor Vehicles after the student has held the permit for 12 months and completed 50 hours of documented driving. In most cases, a written or driving test will not be required but the Division of Motor Vehicles reserves the right to test any person obtaining a new license or renewing an existing license.
- If you would like to enroll, please complete the application below, and return it to The Garage in person or email it sean.miller-wells@seama.org along with a deposit of $50. The remaining balance of $340 will be due one week before the class date. We accept all forms of payment.
- Enrollment in class is not guaranteed until the application and deposit are received.
